Blue Mountains

The Blue Mountains covers an area of around 1436 square kilometres. The population of the Blue Mountains as recorded in the 2001 census was 73,671. The Blue Mountains is surrounded by several areas which also provide. Surrounding areas with an extensive range of tourist attractions and places of interest include Penrith, Richmond, Lithgow and Oberon.

The Blue Mountains is a favorite escape for Sydneysiders who come to unwind in the national parks, fresh air and overwhelming scenery. Villages are spread throughout the mountains, offering luxury guesthouse accommodation, restaurants with reputations for fine food, art and craft shops, and friendly pubs to enjoy a wine or beer beside a fire.
